BELLA+CANVAS, LLC is committed to being compliant with industry, state, and federal requirements. Our products undergo specific testing related to flammability, small parts, phthalates and lead content to ensure compliance with the Flammable Fabrics Act, Federal Hazardous Substances Act, the Consumer Product Safety Act and Consumer Product Safety Improvements Act ("CPSIA"), as applicable.

The CPSIA regulates consumer products, from tamper proof medicine bottles and gas cans to age appropriate toy ratings. Basically, everything we as consumers purchase. The CPSIA includes various requirements for consumer products, including wearable textiles. These requirements affect some of the products you purchase from BELLA+CANVAS.

The CPSIA took effect on February 10, 2010 (except for a limited range of children's products and for certification on lead content which went into effect on February 10, 2011), and is applicable to products manufactured on and after February 10, 2010. These requirements are related to hazardous substances, flammability, lead content limits and the absence of certain banned phthalates. As part of our corporate citizenship program we have been, and will continue, obtaining the required testing, including approved third party testing laboratory testing, where appropriate, for all of these items.

For all garments manufactured on February 10, 2010 and thereafter, BELLA+CANVAS will have all required General Conformity Certificates (GCCs) and Children's Product Certificates (CPCs) on file and available upon request by contacting sales@bellacanvas.com. When required for compliance with the CPSIA, garments contain a sewn in tracking label with a purchase order number which can be referenced if necessary. It is important to note that only certain products fall under the CPSIA's regulations, which are principally those products intended primarily for children twelve years of age and under. Thus other products may not have a sewn in label or a CPC or GCC. If an item is not required to have a CPC or a GCC, no certificate will be provided. Meeting all federal regulations and compliance requirements is a responsibility we take seriously. We are more than happy to provide you with any assistance you may need. Please contact your sales or customer service representative with any questions you may have.
